Bad Christians

Question: "If True Christianity teaches the so-called "Brotherhood of All", then why were we brought to this country, in chains, as slaves (who went through the worst treatment of any human beings) by so-called CHristians?"

Answer: No one denies the atrocities inflicted upon black people and our African ancestors by those of European descent. I do think that there is a tendency to overstate the level of commitment these slave owners had to the Lord. Were they devout or were they nominal? Bottom line is, if you give me a set of instructions to build and instead I came and destroyed, the person who gave me the instructions can’t be blamed… The only way to settle the dispute over what happened is to closely examine the instructions given. What did they say exactly? In other words, there needs to be a separation of God’s message TO Christians and the actions OF Christians. This is certainly true today more than ever before.
